An alcoholic partner stumbling home is the sign of a discontent relationship and a deteriorating marriage. Apart from the injury and despair the alcoholics inflict on themselves, it becomes a traumatic time for his or her loved ones as well.

So the pain and fear associated with alcoholic’s trickles down to children and other members of the family too. It is a challenge of the respective spouse to lend his or her undue support and love to save an already distressed marriage.

Living with an alcoholic spouse is very difficult but quitting this marriage would mean leaving no chance for him or her to recover. So extend your love and support to drag him or her out of it. An alcoholic is aware that he has just two options to either recover or be rejected and nobody likes to be rejected, so have patience he or she will recover soon.

    omg. I hope no one out there takes this “advice” to heart!

    This has got to be the most flawed and dangerous advice I’ve ever heard given. It goes againt everything researchers and professionals know about alcoholism.
    Please people, DO NOT give this little article a second thought!
