If you find yourself constantly promising your spouse to fix up things and end up doing just the opposite, here are some tips that will prove very beneficial to you.
)Every time your spouse speaks make sure you listen to him/her. Do not look at the TV or play on the computer or talk on the phone and tell your spouse that you’re listening to them. This will only leave them frustrated and make them very angry if you forget to do the task.
)Keep reminders, you can keep a remind for yourself on the phone, a pop up reminder on your computer. You may also ask your spouse to remind you. If that’s not possible ask your friends to remind you.
)If you don’t want to do the task, explain the reason to your spouse and tell them the truth. If there is nothing that can be done about it, at least make an attempt to do a part of the job.
)If things are really impossible for you be very clear with your spouse and tell them why you can’t do the task.
)If you have forgotten to do the task, sincerely apologize to your spouse and make it up to him/her by doing something that makes them happy.
