The amount of pressure on an individual increases when they have a sick spouse at home. However, here are some tips that can prove to be very useful to you and help you manage responsibilities at home and work when dealing with your sick spouse.
1) Make sure you take the day off, this would mean a lot to your spouse. If it is not possible to take the day off then take a half-day leave at least. This way you will be able to spend time with your spouse and also take care of his/her needs.
2) Make sure you let them have a lot of fluid intake, with lots of fresh fruits. This will prevent the body from dehydrating and also give them strength, as they will tend to suffer from a lot of weakness when sick.
3) Let your spouse have complete bed rest. Keep asking them, if they need any thing,
4) Clean things around your spouse, this is the best way to keep the germs out of the way. Change the bed sheets and pillow covers, remove any soiled utensils and wash them. Make sure the bathrooms are clean. These are some preventive measure you can take.
5) At the same time make sure you ask your doctor, if there is anything you can take to prevent yourself from falling sick. However, do not completely avoid tending to your spouse for fear of falling ill. Be by their side, and do take precautions.
Keep these points in mind and enjoy babysitting your spouse.
