An unhappy marriage is one which no one wants to endure. But, so often couples find themselves sad and distressed with their marriages. Though it might seem tough to go on with an unhappy marriage, you can take certain steps to make your marriage fulfilling.
Dealing With An Unhappy Marriage:
- Take time to communicate: Lack of communication is the primary reason when love fades away and misunderstanding sets in. Sharing your concerns, plans, affection will keep you strengthen your marriage and leaves no room for misunderstandings. So, do not guess that your partner knows what you are going through –instead communicate and spend time with each other
- Take care of yourself: It so happens that in taking care of the kids and other responsibilities, people forget to take care of themselves. Either they neglect their looks, physical fitness or they forget to pursue their hobbies. This can make you demotivated and dull, and can affect your marriage. Hence, make sure you take care of yourself
- Share your expectations: High expectations from a marriage can leave you easily dissatisfied. A good step would be to discuss each other expectations from the marriage. This can help in keeping realistic expectations and meeting them
- Avoid Being Too busy: Work, friends, pack schedules can eat out the time you spend with each other. Taking care of kids can also leave less time for each other. So, schedule your time properly in a way that you can spend quality time with your partner
- Forgive: Past grievances, hurts can build up and leave you emotionally cold towards your partner. Forgiveness can be a great help to revive the marriage. Forgiving your partner can be best done after discussing the issue which is hurting you.
An unhappy marriage can be effectively resolved by discovering the things which are roadblocks to your marriage. Resolving them through communication and spending time with each other can ease the tension and revive the marriage
